Cownose Ray (Rhinoptera bonasus)

Can grow to about 45 inches. Broad head with wideset eyes. Rounded, cowlike nose, hence the name. Long, thin, whiplike tail. Brown to olive above, paler below. Bottom feeder, prefers clams and other mollusks.
